I could not help but react to your comment . I was the Architect planner at OSHB , who was entirely responsible for preparing the layout plans of CSPUR Phase 6 and Phase 7 . You can find my signature at the bottom of the drawings preserved in OSHB .
ReplyDeleteLet me clear your doubt about the other Phases . Phase 2 to 5 consist if the LIG houses that you can find separated by a 80 feet Road in front of Phase 7 .
Phase 1 is the initial residential layout which falls on the left as you travel on Nandan Kanan Road - much before you reach Damana Chhak .
That was the time - in the late eighties when BBSR was rapidly expandingvaling the spine ( Nandan Kannada Road) and vast tracts if Govt. land were allocated to OSHB for residential development . I was involved hands on as a member of the team who planned and carried out the project including all the necessary infrastructure .
The main catalysts for the rapid growth of these two phases were the the availability of flat terrain with abundance of ground water . Also the fact that people investing were getting built accommodation instead of only plots as in Nayapally helped in establishing the community . The DAV Schools was the final element which cemented the whole development .
